Amphoteric amylopectin: a novel polymeric flocculant
Amphoteric flocculants have anionic and cationic moieties on the same macromolecule and is used to remove both positively and negatively charged contaminant particles in suspensions. Amylopectin based flocculants have been found to be highly efficient flocculant and hence it has been chosen as base polysaccharide.
AMPHOTERIC POLYACRYLAMIDE. 1, flocculation: PAM allows suspended material by charge neutralization, bridging adsorption, since flocculation. 2, adhesion: through mechanical, physical, chemical effect, since adhesion. 3, lowering resistance: PAM can effectively reduce fluid friction, the water can be added to trace PAM 50-80% reduction in resistance.

We offers 98 amphoteric polyacrylamide products. About 64% of these are Electronics Chemicals, 45% are Water Treatment Chemicals, and 81% are Paper Chemicals. A wide variety of amphoteric polyacrylamide options are available to you, such as classification, usage, and type.
Through two‐phase aqueous polymerization, amphoteric polyacrylamide (AmPAM) emulsion, as an environmental friendly flocculant for the tannery wastewater, was firstly synthesized using ammonium sulfate aqueous solution as the dispersion, using acrylamide, cationic monomer ethylene methyl propenoyl‐trimethylammonium chloride (DMC), and anionic monomer acrylic acid (AA).
Synthesis and characterization of amphoteric
Amphoteric polyacrylamide (AmPAM) [6,7] carries anionic and cationic charge group on the polymer back-bone, which can adsorb both organic and inorganic sus-pension substances. So it is more suitable to deal with occasions that other flocculants cannot treat. Comparing with cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) and anionic polya-
An amphoteric starch-graft-polyacrylamide (S-g-PAM) was prepared by inverse emulsion polymerization, subsequent hydrolysis reaction and Mannich reaction. The effects of reaction conditions on copolymerization and the use of the polymer as the water clarifier in oilfield water treatment were investigated.
amphoteric polymers
The amphoteric polyacrylamide (PAM) produced by our Company under the trade name of LHPAM, is made from acrylic cationic monomer, acrylamide monomer and a hydrolyzing agent through a copolymerization process. Through infra-red sqectrum analysis, it is shown that the molecular chain of the product has not only carboxyl anionic charges resultion from the hydrolysis of acrylamide, but also cationic charges from the acrylic monomer.

Polyacrylamide Market Size, Share & Growth | Industry
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a synthetic, potassium based long-chain polymer. It has a high-molecular weight and is a kind of water-soluble polymer, that is produced through polymerization of acrylamide. The global polyacrylamide market will grow at an impressive rate owing to its increasing use mainly in petroleum and wastewater sector.
The easy approachability model of flocculation (Brostow et al., 2007; Singh et al., 2000) showed that the presence of grafted polyacrylamide chains would enhance the hydrodynamic volume (i.e. radius of gyration) of a polymer in solution, and thereby increasing its flocculation ability.
