Influence of silica nanoparticles on corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance improved with functionalised SiO 2 nanoparticles Abstract For this study, unfunctionalised and functionalised nanoparticles of silica (SiO 2 ) were incorporated into a sol-gel based matrix in an effort to provide more effective corrosion protection on a mild steel substrate.

Influence of Polyacrylamide on Corrosion Resistance
Corrosion resistance of mild steel in simulated concrete pore solution (SCPS) Prepared in well water in the absence and presence of polacrylamide (PAA) and Zn2…
Polyacrylamide grafted guar gum (GG-g-PAM) with various grafting levels has been tested as potential green inhibitor against corrosion of mild steel in 1 M HCl. Upto 86% grafting, grafted copolymer maintains inhibition efficiency higher than 90% for about 50 h of exposure.
Role of the Chloride Ion in Iron Corrosion | CORROSION
(2025) Influence of metal cations on inhibitor performance of gluconates in the corrosion of mild steel in fresh water. Corrosion Reviews 36 :1, 105-113. Online publication date: 23-Feb-2025.
The influence of bromide and iodide ions on the inhibitive effect of polyacrylamide (PA) on aluminum corrosion in HCl solution was studied using weight loss, hydrogen evolution, and thermometric
Influence of silica nanoparticles on corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance of the coated samples was examined by exposing them to a salt fog atmosphere generated by spraying a 5 wt% aqueous NaCl solution at 35 ± 2 °C. Prior to exposure, the back and the edges of the samples were covered with lacquer. Specimens were inspected after 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h of exposure to assess performance.
Applying scanning electron microscopy to methacrylic methyl ester-injection/corrosion ocular vascular casts of 80 human eyes has allowed detailed observations of the 3-dimensional architecture of the retinal vascular network (Zhang, 1994). The retinal arteries and veins lie in the nerve fiber and ganglion cell layers.

The term organic coating encompasses conventional paints, varnishes, enamels, lacquers, water-emulsion and solution finishes, nonaqueous dispersions (organosols), plastisols, and powder coatings. The following definitions have been used commonly, although not always in a consistant manner (IARC, 1989a; Stoye & Freitag, 1998; Brock et al., 2000; Goldschmidt & Streitberger, 2002). Glossaries for ...
