Cr(VI) removal from synthetic wastewater using coconut
The adsorbents used in this study were CSC type 12/40 and CAC type PHO 8/35 LBD (Carbokarn Co. Ltd, Bangkok, Thailand). Both adsorbents, made up of coconut shell, are granular in as-received form. Their physical characteristics are listed in Table 1. All chemical solutions were prepared from certified lab grade chemicals.
Coconut Shell Activated Carbon for Water Treatment We produces wide range of powdered and granular coconut shell activated carbons for liquid phase applications. Its particle size and pore structure has been designed to provide the best adsorption of impurities from liquid steam with the least flow resistance and pressure drop.

Activated Carbon for Wastewater Treatment » Ecologix Systems
Activated Carbon Activated carbon is a material mostly derived from charcoal. The structure of activated carbon has a very large surface area -1 lb of granular activated carbon has the surface area of 125 acres. The activated carbon surface is non-polar which results in an affinity for non-polar adsorbates such as organics. Activated carbon is … Activated Carbon for Wastewater TreatmentRead
Activated carbon granules is widely used in drinking water, industrial water, brewing, waste gas treatment, decolorization, desiccant, gas purification, etc. Coconut shell granular activated carbon also has another special function, that it, gold mining, the common size is 6-12mesh or 8*16mesh.

- What is polyacrylamide (PAM)?
- Polyacrylamide (PAM) possesses unique characteristics, including high water solubility, elevated viscosity and effective flocculation capabilities. These properties make it valuable in various sectors like agriculture, wastewater treatment, enhanced oil recovery, and mineral processing industries, contributing to a continually expanding market.
- Are polyacrylamides water soluble?
- Polyacrylamides (PAMs) are group of water-soluble, synthetic polyelectrolytes derived from acrylamide monomer in polymerization process [1, 2, 3]. They are substances which dissolve, disperse, or swell in water and thus can modify physical properties of aqueous system due to thickening, gelation, emulsification, or stabilization processes.
- Can polyacrylamide contribute to residual polymer formation?
- Common methods for treating PAM are membrane filtration 25, thermal distillation 24, oxidation treatment 26, and biological treatments 27. However, addressing the challenge posed by PAM remains a pressing issue within the industry. Fig. 1: Polyacrylamide and its fragments may contribute to residual polymer formation.
- Do polyacrylamide preparations protect water quality from agricultural runoff contaminants?
- I. Effect on the mechanical strength and stability and soil structure. Egypt J Soil Sci 219:51–56 Entry JA, Sojka RE, Watwood M, Ross C (2002) Polyacrylamide preparations for protection of water quality threatened by agricultural runoff contaminants.
