Hazardous :: Environmental Protection Agency, Ireland
Irish hazardous waste treatment facilities treated 112,367 tonnes of hazardous waste to non-hazardous status in 2025. In 2025, Ireland exported 383,903 tonnes of its hazardous waste for treatment abroad. Contaminated soils accounted for 74,912 tonnes of our hazardous waste exports.
This report presents the progress of the recommended actions outlined in the National Hazardous Waste Management Plan. While many of the recommended actions have been advanced, a stronger focus is needed in the areas of hazardous waste prevention and the development of waste management infrastructure necessary for Ireland to become more self-sufficient in treatment and management of its

National Hazardous Waste Management Plan
Preface. This revised National Hazardous Waste Management Plan, for the Republic of Ireland, is prepared by the Environmental Protection Agency in accordance with Section 26 of the Waste Management Act 1996. as amended. The first such Plan was published in 2001 and was replaced by a second Plan published in 2008.
The National Hazardous Waste Management Plan (NHWMP) identifies three strategic needs if additional hazardous waste is to be treated in Ireland: (1) expansion of physico-chemical treatment, (2) addressing the deficit in thermal treatment capacity, and (3) securing long-term disposal arrangements for hazardous waste streams not suitable for thermal treatment or recovery.
Chemical manufacturing waste and hazardous waste
Introduction. Chemical manufacturing businesses produce waste that can have a harmful impact on the environment, such as process residues, spent catalysts or solvents, effluent treatment sludges and contaminated chemical containers. The chemical industry includes producers of commodity chemicals such as organic and inorganic chemicals and industrial gases, and speciality chemicals such as pharmaceutical products and essential oils.
We provide products that met ISO9001:2008 and services of superior quality and value that improve the global environment and the lives of common people. wt(ten thousand) Cationic PAM Anionic PAM Solid PH Appearance 800-1200 5-60% 0-10% ≥90% 1-14 White powder APAM Anionic Polyacrylamide for water treatment, manufacturer supply anionic/cationic
Polyacrylamide polymer Anionic PAM Cationic Polyacrylamide
Cationic Polyacrylamide / Water Treatment flocculant for. 2.Product Description: Cationic Polyacrylamide PAM for short, is a water-soluble polymer compounds, one of the most widely used in varieties of polyacrylamide and its derivatives can be used as effective flocculant, thickening agents, paper strengthening agent and fluid drag reduction agent.
APAM Description: Anionic Polyacrylamide can be used widely for Water treatment, oil drilling, Soil Stabilization and Cement making. It is a water soluble polymer formed from acrylamide (a compound with the molecular formula C3H5NO) subunits.
DCV8102, Pure Polyacrylamide PAM used in coal washing
Pure Polyacrylamide PAM used in coal washing industry Description: Polyacrylamide (PAM) is water-soluble polymer, not insoluble in most organic solvents, has the feasure of good flocculation , can reduce the friction between liquid, they can be divided into four types by ion characteristic they are nonionic, anion and cation and bisexual type .
PHPA (also partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide or HPAM) is designed for easy mixing in drilling mud systems and to improve its dispersion to eliminate “fish eyes”, This occurs in field work when mixing either large quantities rapidly or mixing high polymer concentrations without good mixing equipment. In drilling fluids, PHPA is an anionic polyacrylamide and it can act as a viscosifier
- What is high molecular weight polyacrylamide (PAM)?
- Provided by the Springer Nature SharedIt content-sharing initiative High molecular weight (106–3 × 107 Da) polyacrylamide (PAM) is commonly used as a flocculant in water and wastewater treatment, as a soil conditioner, and as a viscosity modifier and friction reducer in both enhanced oil recovery and high volume hydraulic fracturing.
- Is anionic Polyacrylamide a chemical of low concern?
- ymer of low concern1 . In addition, based on an assessment of environmental hazards, NICNAS also identified anionic polyacrylamide as a chemical of low concern to the envi onment (NICNAS, 2017). Chemicals of low concern are unlikely to have adverse environmental effects if they are released to the environment from co
- Is polyacrylamide a cationic or nonionic polymer?
