The scaling exponents of polyacrylamide and acrylamide
Abstract The ratio of bulk modulus to shear modulus, K e /G e, of polyacrylamide (PAAM) gels was studied. This ratio is directly related to a scaling exponent, δ, which is related to the concentration dependence of both bulk modulus and shear modulus. It was found that δ depends on the details of chemical ingredients and process.

Polyacrylamide degradation and its implications
The hydrolyzed form of polyacrylamide (HPAM), a co-polymer of acrylamide and acrylic acid, is the most widely used anionic PAM in oil and gas development as well as in soil conditioning. 1,9,12,21

Thermoreversible Gelation in Solutions of Associative
An equilibrium mean−field theory for reversible network formation in solutions of associative polymers is presented. We study polymer solutions with many associating groups per chain and consider pairwise association of these groups. A simple analytical expression for the free energy of these systems is derived and is shown to be consistent with the classical gelation picture developed by

segment. Scaling exponents obtained for concentration dependencies of different rheological characteristics in region III are also close to the theoretical values for the fast-breaking limit (Table 1).21 Thus, for concentrated samples (C EHAC > 0.5 wt %) the rheology conforms to the Maxwell model. At high surfactant concentrations (C EHAC > 0.5
The ionic hydrogels were prepared from acrylamide and sodium acrylate (NaAc) monomers with 0 to 5 mol % NaAc and using N,N’-methylenebis(acrylamide) as the crosslinker. As expected, at a fixed crosslinker ratio, the volume swelling ratio of hydrogels in water increases sharply when the mole fraction of NaAc increases or the NaCl concentration
- How much does polyacrylamide cost in the US?
- North America The prices of Polyacrylamide declined in the USA market during the third quarter of 2025, with cost ranging at USD 2252/tonne Polyacrylamide Anionic Grade FOB Texas with a quarterly decline of 11.1% as per recorded by ChemAnalyst pricing team data.
- What is the price of polyacrylamide (anionic grade) in 2025?
- Thus, after the conclusion of the first quarter of 2025, PAM prices (Anionic Grade) were assessed at USD 3400 per MT. For the Quarter Ending December 2025 North America The market prices of Polyacrylamide moved in a downward direction in the North American market during the fourth quarter of 2025, as per ChemAnalyst Research Team Data.
- Why are polyacrylamide (PAM) prices rising?
- Based on our analysis of the US market for the first quarter of 2025, it is evident that Polyacrylamide (PAM) prices have experienced a sharp increase due to the rise in demand from downstream industries and feedstock cost pressures. Despite domestic production operating rates remaining firm, inventory levels have dropped.
- How much is polyacrylamide anionic grade in Germany?
- The latest quarter-ending price for Polyacrylamide Anionic Grade in Germany was USD 3425/MT FD Hamburg, underscoring the sustained upward momentum in pricing driven by consistent industrial demand and regulatory pressures. The quarter was devoid of major plant shutdowns or operational disruptions, ensuring a stable supply amid rising demand.
