Sustainable green technology for recovery of cotton fibers
In this research, high purity cotton fiber and polyester were recovered from textile waste using integrated sustainable chemical technology. Acid was used to remove the textile dyes from the fabric; the spent acid was treated with activated carbon for regeneration with concentration of the regenerated acid similar to the original (83%).
However, the technology and process of producing large area, single layer and high purity graphene with low cost is still immature, which is the bottleneck restricting the scale production and commercial application of graphene. This requires us to improve and refine our research to find a new way to produce high quality graphene.
