Polyacrylamide soil amendment effects on runoff
The results showed that the runoff of freeze-thaw slope (FTS) decreased by 8% compared to the control slope (CS), and the total sediment yield of the FTS was 1.10 times that of the CS.

Effect of Polyacrylamide Application on Runoff, Erosion
Effect of polyacrylamide application on runoff, erosion, and soil nutrient loss under simulated rainfall. Pedosphere. 21(5): 628–638. INTRODUCTION Soil nutrients following rainfall can be lost by sur- face runoff and/or vertical percolating water in a dis- solved form and with the eroded soil particles in an adsorbed form.

Effect of polyacrylamide and gypsum on surface runoff
Research highlights Crop cultivation, being done on highly sloped lands in hilly areas in Indian Himalayan regions, causes considerable sediment and nutrient losses along with runoff. This paper is intended to show the extent of losses without any conservation measures, and indicates the effect of soil conditioners like PAM, gypsum and their combination to be applied for reducing these losses.
Generally, when PAMR increased, the total runoff, the total sediment mass, the maximal sediment concentration in runoff and the maximal sediment intensity all decreased. This implied that PAM applications to a fraction of the soil surface could reduce erosion from sloping land. The larger the PAMR, the smaller the runoff and the sediment yield. 5.
POLYACRYLAMIDE SOIL AMENDMENT EFFECTS ON RUNOFF
The effect of the soil amendment treatments PAM (P), PAM plus gypsum (PG), and an untreated control (C) on runoff and sediment yield was studied in a randomized complete block design experiment with three replicates of each treatment. Nine erosion plots were constructed that were 2.96 m wide Ü 9.14 m long, with the major axis aligned
Several studies on metal removal from real contaminated waters using biosorption technique evolved in recent years. Table 1 summarizes the important results of the studies associated with the application of biosorption for the treatment of real metal-bearing wastewaters. Even though some results were far from perfect, biosorption showed potential to remove metal ions from complex effluents.
