PACs are set by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and are defined as the "threshold concentration of a chemical in air at which protective action is required" .
  • What are PACS?
  • PACs are a consolidated list of 3 types of emergency exposure guidelines: AEGLs, ERPGs, and TEELs. For chemicals without AEGLs or ERPGs, TEELs are used until AEGLs or ERPGs are developed.
