The wastewater that was generated from the factory varied from 24 to 30 m 3 /batch. Wastewater was mainly produced from production lines, equipments and floor cleaning operations. Fruit juice wastewater contains a relatively high biodegradable organic matter (BOD 5 /COD ratio = 0.61). The pH of the raw wastewater was slightly acidic.

High-Strength Wastewater Treatment Using Anaerobic
Beverage factory wastewater (BFW) is also a kind of high-strength wastewater. High COD (760–860 g COD/L) and high carbohydrate (610–670 g carbohydrate/L) in BFW are the preferred organic carbon source for anaerobic fermentation microorganisms . 13.2.2. Livestock Industrial Wastewater
Wastewater Treatment of Sugar Industry: Like any other industry, the pollution load from Sugar mills can also be reduced with a better water and material economy practiced in the plant. Judicious use of water in various plant practices, and its recycle, wherever practicable, will reduce the volume of waste to a great extent.

Many aquaculture systems generate high amounts of wastewater containing compounds such as suspended solids, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. Today, aquaculture is imperative because fish demand is increasing. However, the load of waste is directly proportional to the fish production. Therefore, it is necessary to develop more intensive fish culture with efficient systems for wastewater
Furthermore, the position of beer as a natural product leads the brewers to pay attention to their marketing image and to take waste treatment (wastewater, spent grains, Kieselguhr sludge, yeast surplus) into account as shown in Fig. 1.
