OmyaWeb ke-en - Welcome to Omya
Welcome to Omya UK & Ireland Omya UK is a leading supplier of white minerals and chemicals both in the UK and around the world as part of Omya AG, a multi-national based in Switzerland. Omya AG is a world leader in the manufacture of fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate.
Health problems can also occur where eutrophic conditions interfere with drinking water treatment. The environmental problems described above can be solved by Omya through the use of our selected calcium carbonate, which is spread on the water surface to limit eutrophication and adjust the pH level (pH buffering).
OmyaWeb Water Treatment - Welcome to Omya
Water Treatment. Remineralization & pH adjustment. In order to increase the quality of natural or treated (e.g. desalinated) water to a non-corrosive level or to a level acceptable for human consumption, Omya offers selected, high-quality limestone products such as granular-sized Juraperle or micronized Omyaqua.
Improve water quality & treatment performance with natural mineral products. Surface & Ground Water. The pH of naturally soft water tends to be slightly acidic. This means taste is impaired, and the water is corrosive to production and distribution facilities.
Omya International AG - Omya GmbH | Aquatech
Omyaqua® is used to stabilize the water as required to avoid corrosion of the distribution network and to provide drinking water quality as required by regulation. The Omya Advanced Remineralization Process (OARP) is used in the post-treatment (stabilization) of desalination and advanced water reuse processes.
custom advanced water treatment technologies in the desalination and water reuse industry, as an attractive and complementary partner in applying Omya’s Advanced Remineralization Process (OARP). Jorg Menningmann, President of Biwater’s Water Reuse and Desalination Sector, Biwater

- How are drilling muds treated?
- A novel approach to the reclamation and disposal of drilling muds is presented. The treatment process developed employs mechanical solids - liquid separation; chemical stabilization and fixation of solids; and chemical coagulation/flocculation of the effluent to meet water quality discharge criteria or for re-use in mud formulation.
- What is drilling waste mud?
- During the drilling construction work of oil and gas, the production of waste mud is inevitable. Such drilling waste is a muddy substance used to lubricate, cool the drill tip, and balance the downhole pressure during oilfield drilling. The main components are bentonite, brine, and various chemical treatment agents.
- How is drilling mud recirculated?
- Most of the mud is recirculated back to the drilling operation through the solids control process and drilling mud recycling system. Drill cuttings separated by solids control equipment are usually sent to a waste management process (Ball et al. 2012). Drill cutting and mud waste characterization is dependent on the mud composition.
- How often should oil mud be used in drilling?
- into oil content in Drill Cutting should be conducted at least onceas long as oil mud is used. b. On offshore Drilling using oil and synthetic mud, test into oil content in Drill Cutting should be conducted at least once as long as oil mud is used.
