FF aggregation was the dominant particle association in the nonionic polyacrylamide-treated kaolin systems. More polymer bridges induced a greater proportion of FF aggregates which manifested as a denser final sediment. Although to a lesser degree, the ionic type of polyacrylamide also influenced kaolin fabric formation.
