Synthesis of Magnetite/Graphene Oxide Composite
A magnetite/graphene oxide (M/GO) composite was synthesized via a chemical reaction with a magnetite particle size of 10–15 nm and was developed for the removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. The composite was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
In this study, novel anionic polyacrylamide-modify-chitosan magnetic composite nanoparticles ([email protected]) were facilely prepared by coating PAA-modified CS (CS-PAA) on the surface of silica-combined Fe 3 O 4 (FS) and subsequently served as high-efficient adsorbents towards cationic dyes and heavy metal ions, as illustrated in Scheme 1.The morphology, structure, physic-chemical and
Application of magnetite modified with polyacrylamide
A magnetic adsorbent manufactured from magnetite (Fe 3 O 4) can be easily recovered from treated water by magnetic force, without requiring further downstream treatment. In this research, the surface of magnetite modified with oleic acid and polyacrylamide (PAM/oleic acid/Fe 3 O 4 ) was used to adsorb phosphate in an aqueous solution in a batch
Application of magnetite modified with polyacrylamide to adsorb phosphate in aqueous solution Article in Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers 44(1):45–51 · January 2013 with 40
Facile preparation of polyacrylamide/chitosan/Fe3O4
The image of the SEM of the cross-sections of PAAm/CS hydrogels is shown in Fig. 1(b). From Fig. 1(b), it can be seen that the cross-section of the PAAm/CS hydrogels show a porous network structure with a thin pore wall. The shape of the pores is similar to hexagon and their sizes can reach about 150 μm.

Application of Polyacrylamide in Papermaking
Paper industry in polyacrylamide dispersing agent is composed of cationic polyacrylamide with low relative molecular weight, due to its molecular chain containing carboxyl and on electronegative fiber with dispersion effect, can improve the viscosity of pulp, is conducive to the fiber suspension and effectively improve the sheet uniformity is a long fiber of high efficient dispersant.
After performing carbon coating and polyacrylamide functionalization, there was a noticeable reduction in the magnetic strength to reach saturated magnetization of 31 emu·g −1. However, after such reduction in magnetic strength, polyacrylamide-functionalized Fe 3 O 4 can still be easily separated from the solution under the effect of the
Conducting hydrogel based on chitosan, polypyrrole
Conducting hydrogel bionanocomposite based on magnetite nanoparticles (Fe 3 O 4-NPs) was synthesized from chitosan/polyacrylic acid/polypyrrole. Furthermore, different ratios of Fe 3 O 4 -NPs were added to the synthesized biocomposites to improve the thermal and the electrical conductivity properties of the conducting bionanocomposites hydrogel.
Studies to evaluate the beneficiation of low-grade hematite-magnetite ore (18.64% Fe) have been carried out in China (Liu et al., 2014). Bioprocessing has been considered as an option in the

- What is water reuse?
- Top The evaluation of votes takes some time. Water Reuse, the use of reclaimed water from treated wastewater, has been a long-established reality in many (semi)arid countries and regions. It helps to alleviate water scarcity by supplementing limited freshwater resources.
- How can water reuse reduce pressure on water resources?
- One way to reduce the pressure on water resources is water reuse, defined as the use of water generated from wastewater or any other marginal water treated to a standard appropriate for its intended use.
- What is an example of a water reuse regulation?
- An example could be the regulation that sets the minimum water quality and monitoring requirements for the reuse of urban wastewater for irrigation in the agriculture industry ( Regulation 2025/741, 2025 ). This regulation is one of the first steps towards unifying water reuse standards across the EU.
- Why is water reuse important in Europe?
- Water pollution and freshwater scarcity are growing problems not only in Europe but all over the world. Water reuse contributes significantly to water sustainability and brings many environmental, economic, and social benefits. The European Union (EU) has recently been addressing water-related problems with great commitment.
