Polyacrylamide used in mineral Processing . Mining industry consume huge amount of water for one washing and flotation .many minerals such as iron, coal , phosphate , and diamonds are taking this processing method .
Performance of polyacrylamide as drag reduction polymer
The influence of polyacrylamide (PAM) as drag reducing polymer on flow of Iraqi crude oil in pipe lines was investigated in the present work. The effect additive concentration, pipe diameter, solution flow rate and the presence of radius elbows on the percentage of drag reduction (%Dr) and the amount of flow increases (%FI) were the variables of study.
Samples were taken during the period of operation of the small pump only. Percent drag reduction at the bottom wall, %DR 2, percent drag reduction at the top wall, %DR 1, weight-average molar mass, M W, and the polydispersity, M W / M n, are also tabulated. In all subsequent discussions of drag reduction, the bottom wall value, %DR 2, is used.
Drag reduction behavior of hydrolyzed polyacrylamide
Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) as the main component of slickwater fracturing fluid is a shear-sensitive polymer, which suffers from mechanical degradation at turbulent flow rates. Five different concentrations of HPAM as well as mixtures of polyacrylamide/xanthan gum were prepared to investigate the possibility of improving shear stability of HPAM. Drag reduction (DR) measurements
SINOFLOC supplies our customers a wide range of product portfolio in the oilfield industry. In addition to our standard oilfield chemicals, we are also supplying customized products to our clients in the different condition of high TDS and API brine, as well as in specific particle size.
Polyacrylamide in Oilfield - Sinofloc Chemical
Polyacrylamide is a versatile chemical treatment agent in oilfield. In oil extraction it could be used as a flooding agent, water shutoff regulator, drilling fluid regulator, fracturing fluid additives, especially in cementing, completion and workover. The oil industry is the largest area of polyacrylamide applications.
Our teams expertly maintain and deliver cementing technologies any operational need—including float, stage-cementing and surge-reduction tools—and help you to quickly and safely deploy them at your wellsite. Eliminate ownership costs here

Decrease surge pressures and achieve a high-quality cement job As a single-source provider for field-proven cementing systems, we provide high-quality cement jobs that maintain well integrity and reduce the chances of a cement-related workover.
Control Fluids - Pall Corporation
Keeping Control Fluids Clean and Dry Synthetic fluids are often used in control systems, operating at pressures of over 70 bar (1000 psi) to ensure rapid hydraulic response. At these pressures the potential for fluid leaks is greater as is the attendant fire hazard, making phosphate esters the hydraulic fluid of choice as they are fire
For example, the fluid flow at grid node 1 is affected by a fraction of the particle Stokes drag proportional to the area with marker 1. To integrate the equation of motion, Eq. 5 , the Stokes drag force needs to be evaluated for every particle and at every time step.
- What is coal based activated carbon?
- Coal based activated carbon is available in four different types of base material - bituminous, sub bituminous, anthracite, & lignite, consisting of micro, meso and macro pore structures. This unique pore distribution makes coal based activated carbon ideal to remove small to large molecular structures.
- Why is activated carbon used in water and wastewater treatment?
- The activation process enhances the porosity within the carbon, making the carbon effective in adsorbing small molecular compounds . There are two principal types of activated carbon used in water and wastewater treatment processes, which differ in their morphology and particle size.
- What is activated carbon & how does it work?
- Activated carbon is a material used to filter harmful chemicals from contaminated water and air. It is composed of black granules of coal, wood, nutshells or other carbon-rich materials. As contaminated water or air flows through activated carbon, the contaminants sorb (stick) to the surface of the granules and are removed from the water or air.
- What is activated carbon filtering?
- Water is a vital global resource and activated carbon filtering is widely used in many processes and industries where water needs to be purified. Perhaps the best known application for activated carbon is the purification of drinking water.
