Treatment of potato chips manufacturing wastewater
Treatment of wastewater from potato chips manufacturing by electrocoagulation (EC) was investigated. Experiments were conducted to determine the optimum operating conditions such as electrode type, pH, current density and retention time. Aluminium and iron electrodes were used, and aluminium electrodes were found to be more suitable since it had a higher removal rate of COD, turbidity and suspended solids than the iron electrode.
A small industrial effluent treatment plant has been designed and installed for the treatment of wastewater from a potato chips and snacks factory. The total daily flow rate to the plant was 115 m 3 /d, while the influent COD mass flux was 838.7 kg/d and the BOD mass flux was 626.7 kg/d.
Anaerobic treatment of potato processing wastewater
ZOUTBERG and Z. EKER WASTEWATER CHARACTERISTICS OF SMITHS FOOD, PEKA KROEF AND UZAY GIDA Smiths Food produces potato crisps and has chosen the BiothaneiZ UASB anaerobic treatment process for bulk-COD removal from their wastewater and aerobic final treatment to meet the discharge limits.
----- ABSTRACT The continued rapid growth of the potato processing industry represents a corresponding increase in waste water volume. This paper is a discussion of potato processing, waste treatment, and current and needed research in water quality control in this production field, A brief discription is given of general characteristics of the potato and the effects and im- portance of
Singapore Potato Chips Market Analysis/Potato Chips Industry
Blanched potato chips have fresh color and vegetable scent. Potato Chips Dehydration Machine – For draining the water on the surface of chips. Adopting the centrifugal de-watering methods, remove the surface water on blanched potato chips. Potato chips and strips after de-watered can be fried easily in the following frying machine.

Potato Chip Manufacturer Meets Municipal Wastewater
A potato chip manufacturer found wastewater solutions in the J-Press® filter press. Remember the line from the commercial about potato chips: "Betcha can't eat just one"? Who would ever think that one of this country's most favorite snack foods would have a waste treatment problem in its manufacturing process?

- What is the molecular formula of poly-aluminum chloride?
- One of the major pre-polymerized coagulants, poly-aluminum chloride (PACl) is used broadly for water and wastewater treatment. PACl contains different amounts of hydroxyl, and the molecular formula of PACl is [Al m (OH) n (H 2 O) x]·Cl 3m−n (n ≤ 3 m).
- Can polyaluminum chloride be used in water treatment?
- In this study, synthesis and speciation of polyaluminum chloride (PAC) for application in water treatment was investigated using a colorimetric speciation method. It was possible to produce stable preparations of PAC solutions in which a relatively stable cationic polymer predominated.
- Is polyaluminum chloride a Lewis acid catalyst?
- Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an inorganic polymer material that has the advantages of a simple preparation process and special electronic structure. It is considered to be the most efficient and widely used flocculation material for water treatment. In this work, PAC has been used as a Lewis acid catalyst in inte
- What is high-purity poly-aluminum chloride (PACL)?
- Poly-aluminum chloride (PACl) is one of the common coagulants for water and wastewater treatment. A new Chinese national standard of PACl has been implemented, where the concentration of insoluble substances, iron and heavy metals is to be controlled strictly, then researches on the preparation of high-purity PACl are needed.
