Frontiers | Enhancing the Energy Efficiency of Wastewater
The present work provides an overview of technological measures to increase the self-sufficiency of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), in particular for the largely diffused activated sludge-based WWTP. The operation of WWTPs entails a huge amount of electricity. Thermal energy is also required for pre-heating the sludge and sometimes exsiccation of the digested sludge.
The revolutionary 3D TRASAR water management technology is used by Nalco Water which enhances the efficiency while reducing water and energy use. Ecolab has collaborated with Microsoft to use cloud computing and high-end water technology to speed up how worldwide industries tackle scarcity of water. 3. American Water Works Co.
Sustainable Product Practices & Standards - REI Co-op
REI Co-op and Co-op Cycles products are an embodiment of the co-op's values. We're also fortunate to retail other leading outdoor brands. While we don't oversee their supply chains, we influence responsible choices through education, engagement and collaboration – and by holding the brands we sell to high standards, just as we do for ourselves.
REI's stewardship efforts can be traced back to the first days of the co-op. REI was founded in 1938 by 23 mountaineers who went in search of a high quality, good-value ice axe, which they sourced

Chemical and Chemical & Biological engineers create and develop processes to change raw materials into the products that society depends on; food, chemicals, fuels, energy, metals, pharmaceuticals, paper, plastics, and personal care products. Chemical and process engineers help to manage natural resources, protect the environment, control health and safety procedures, and recycle materials
Metal-Organic Frameworks for Energy Applications
The first MOF-based catalyst for photochemical CO 2 reduction was synthesized by direct incorporation of a catalytic component [ReI(CO) 3 (dcbpy)Cl] (dcbpy = 2,2′-bipyridine-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid) into highly stable porous UiO-67. 50 The photocatalytic CO 2 reduction performance of [ReI(CO) 3 (dcbpy)Cl]-doped UiO-67 is much higher than
Polyacrylamide (PAM) Powder for Water Treatment Polyacrylamide (PAM) Effective pH value: 1.0~14.0. Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear organic polymer, and it is the most widely used flocculant in water treatment chemicals. It can enhance
Soil Science Society of America Journal Abstract
Many semiarid and arid soils are prone to irrigation-induced erosion. Polyacrylamide (PAM) greatly reduces erosion from furrow irrigation. We hypothesized that PAM applied via sprinklers will provide erosion control and benefit water infiltration and aggregate stability.
The effect of PAM on infiltration, erosion, agrochemical transport, and crop yield when applied in furrow to mid-southern US production systems has not been evaluated. The objective of this study was to assess PAM effects on infiltration, erosion, corn ( L.) grain yield, and nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) transport when applied at 10 mg L

- What are the different types of polyacrylamide water treatment?
- Description: According to ionic characteristics, it can be divided into four types, non-ionic polyacrylamide NPAM, anionic polyacrylamide APAM, cationic polyacrylamide CPAM and amphoteric polyacrylamide. At present, the PAM water treatment is generally anionic type.
- How much does polyacrylamide cost in the US?
- North America The prices of Polyacrylamide declined in the USA market during the third quarter of 2025, with cost ranging at USD 2252/tonne Polyacrylamide Anionic Grade FOB Texas with a quarterly decline of 11.1% as per recorded by ChemAnalyst pricing team data.
- What is the function of cationic polyacrylamide?
- We're here to help: Easy ways to get the answers you need. Cationic polyacrylamide, is a white powder water -soluble polymer which is copolymerized by cationic monomer and acrylamide. It has the function of decolorizing, adsorbing, turbid eliminating and bonding. It generate a good flocculation and can decrease the resistance between liquids.
- Is polyacrylamide a water soluble polymer?
- Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble polymer, physically available as a white crystalline solid. It is a non-ionic compound which forms strong hydrogen bonds with water molecules and hence capable to retain water. This water absorbing and retention quality makes it suitable to be used as a superabsorbent.
