The present review article classifies the flocculants that have been studied and applied in wastewater treatment into three categories including chemical coagulants/flocculants, natural bio-flocculants and grafted flocculants as shown in Fig. 1.Chemical coagulants/flocculants are conventionally applied in wastewater treatment and derived from chemically/petroleum-based materials.
Application of polyacrylamide flocculants for water treatment
General patterns of water treatment with the use of polyacrylamide and its anionic and cationic derivatives have been considered in the absence and presence of mineral coagulants.
Non-ionic PAM: It is the most appropriate to use NPAM, when the sewage is acidic. It is also used as agents for the textile pulp, paper chemicals, water shutoff agent, and etc.Because of its non-ionic functional group, PH value and salts have a little influence on NPAM’s flocculation.
cationic polyacrylamide used for septage wastewater
cationic polyacrylamide used for septage wastewater treatment、 For septage wastewater treatment ,we normally use cationic polyacrylamide with medium cationicity and high molecular weight.we recommend our model of Chinafloc A3012. Cationic polyacrylamide. Cationic polyacrylamide can be used in industrial waste water treatment and municipal
flocculants: oily wastewater treatment There is another section of our web site which explains in more detail how Tramfloc cationic formulations “break out.” Fats, oils, and greases (FOG) from process and wastewater in a wide variety of industries can be removed by the judicious application of carefully selected Tramfloc Emulsion Breakers.
Coagulants and Flocculants for Wastewater Treatment
Coagulants and Flocculants Coagulants and flocculant’s are formulated to assist in the solids/liquid separation of suspended particles in solution. Such particles are characteristically very small and the suspended stability of such particles (colloidal complex) is due to both their small size and to the electrical charge between particles.
Without the correct settling agents, waste-handling systems can face slowed or halted operations. To protect against this, we recommend our polymers and flocculants for use in wastewater and water treatment applications as a settling agent in dissolved air flotation and in sludge dewatering for centrifuge and belt press applications.

By using industrial wastewater as carbon source, wastewater treatment plants can combine biological wastewater treatment with the production of natural flocculants, saving (energy) costs. EPS, being anionic polyelectrolytes have somewhat similar flocculation mechanism with synthetic anionic flocculants such as polyacrylamide.
cationic polyacrylamide flocculant for industrial
Cationic polyacrylamide flocculant for industrial wastewater treatment. Main Production: 1. Oilfield Chemicals, Oilfield chemical is a general germ,The oilfield chemicals we can supply include anionic polyacrylamide used for oil drilling mud additives , drag reduction agent and EOR(enhanced oil recovery)agent . 2. Water Treatment Chemicals,Anionic PAM: It is widely used in waste water
As the flocculants, it is mainly used for various industrial effluent flocculation sedimentation, and clarification treatment, such as iron and steel plant effluent, paper effluent, food plant effluent, textile effluent, electroplating wastewater, wastewater metallurgy, coal washing wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering.
