Polyaluminium chloride (PACl) is often applied coupled with polyacrylamide (PAM), and the combination has already exhibited better efficiency in removing algae and pollutant during water treatment (Ahmad et al., 2008, Lou et al., 2013). Hence, PACl and PAM were selected as the two polymers to combine with natural magnetite in this study.
