Enhanced anaerobically digested swine wastewater treatment
Enhanced anaerobically digested swine wastewater treatment by the composite of polyaluminum chloride (PAC) and Bacillus megatherium G106 derived EPS. Guo J(1), Huang Y(2), Chen C(3), Xiao Y(3), Chen J(3), Jian B(3).
A strain was isolated from biological sludge to produce EPS by using anaerobically digested swine wastewater (ADSW). Potential of the EPS in ADSW treatment were discussed. Results showed that the optimal fermentation medium for EPS production was determined as 4 g K 2 HPO 4 , 2 g KH 2 PO 4 , and 2 g sucrose dissolved in 1 L ADSW.
Enhanced anaerobic treatment of swine wastewater with
It has been reported that the gut microorganisms of swine wastewater are as large as 1 × 10 10 cell/mL (Moore et al., 1987). The anaerobic treatment system of swine wastewater receives the gut microorganisms for a long time. The microbial community of anaerobic treatment system is greatly influenced by the gut microorganisms.

Enhanced nutrient sequestration from swine wastewater
Nutrient removal during treatment of anaerobically digested swine wastewater (ADSW) is problematic due to high nutrient concentrations. In this study, nutrient sequestration from ADSW was investigated using zeolite fly ash (ZFA) that was synthesized using an alkaline hydrothermal technology.
Anaerobic digestion (AD) is commonly used for the stabilization of agro-food wastes and recovery of energy as methane. Since AD removes organic C but not nutrients (N and P), additional processes to remove them are usually applied to meet the stringent effluent criteria. However, in the past years, there was a shift from the removal to the recovery of nutrients as a result of increasing

WASTEWATER TREATMENT USING CONTROLLED SOLIDS INPUT TO AN ANAEROBIC DIGESTER . United States Patent Application 20150008181 . Kind Code: A1 . Abstract: The present invention is a system and process for livestock waste management that operates more efficiently than existing technologies with less maintenance and with less chemical process
Recovery of P as struvite is a suitable method for treatment of swine wastewater. However, precipitation of struvite from dairy manure effluents can be a challenge due to the interference with Ca. Zhang et al. found that the majority of P in anaerobically digested dairy effluent was tied up in finely suspended Ca phosphate solids [ 81 ].

The present invention is a system and process for livestock waste management that operates more efficiently than existing technologies with less maintenance and with less chemical process components (and thus chemical handling) with recovery of useful end products. The invention comprises solids separation of the waste to remove solids in excess of about 0.50 mm in size prior to anaerobic
Systems and methods for the treatment of lipid-extracted algae biomass and recycling nutrients are provided. The lipid-extracted algae biomass is hydrolyzed prior to anaerobic digestion, and the products generated by anaerobic digestion are further processed to yield by-products that are of use either for external use or as process inputs to carry out specific steps within an integrated algal
