Dissolving high concentration of SDS - General Lab Techniques
I'm just wondering if any of you know any tricks on how to dissolve high concentration of SDS (20%). I am trying to make some 6x protein loading dye but is having difficulty dissolving it. any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance! By the way, the protocol I'm using is as follow: Tris/HCl 750 mM pH 6.8 12% SDS 60% glycerol anhydrous

Typically, I cast my gels just prior to running them. But, I am wondering if I can pre-cast my own gels and store them for later use, because it
melting a polyacrylamide gel? urgent - General Lab Techniques
Top: Forum Archives: : General Lab Techniques. melting a polyacrylamide gel (or hot uv) to dissolve polyacrylamide nor do i know the effect of uv on silicon chips so i can't knowledgably answer your question. I would suggest you to incorporate disulfide bond containing cross-linker to make polyacrylamide gel so you can release DNA by
Polyacrylamide chromatography supports are typically made by the copolymerization of two monomers: acrylamide and N,N’-methylene bisacrylamide, first described by Hjerten and Mosbach (1962) (Figure 15.8).The support can have a variety of pore sizes depending on the degree of crosslinking monomers added to the polymerization reaction.

TECHNIQUES. In this lab you will mount a SDS-polyacrylamide gel, apply proteins chromatographically separated in the previous lab, and perform the electrophoresis. The results from this lab should help you decide which proteins eluted in the different fractions from the G50 and ion exchange experiments.

High-throughput sequencing has become the large-scale approach of choice to study global gene expression and the distribution of specific chromatin marks and features. However, the limited availability of large amounts of purified cells made it very challenging to apply sequencing-based techniques in plant meiosis research in the past.
Aspiration-assisted bioprinting for precise positioning
Three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting is an appealing approach for building tissues; however, bioprinting of mini-tissue blocks (i.e., spheroids) with precise control on their positioning in 3D space has been a major obstacle. Here, we unveil “aspiration-assisted bioprinting (AAB),” which enables picking and bioprinting biologics in 3D through harnessing the power of aspiration forces, and
The running buffer consisted of 0.35 M β-alanine and 0.14 M acetate at pH 4.3. Gels were pre-run at 30 mAmp per gel for 20 minutes and then 5 µg of the prion sample was loaded in dissolving buffer. The dissolving buffer contains 37% glycerol, 128 mM acetate-KOH, pH 5.2 and 0.01% crystal violet (Sigma-Aldrich Canada).
