A high-flocculation composite flocculant was prepared by sodium alginate, polyaluminum ferric chloride, and cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM); the dosage of the composite flocculant was 20 mg·L −1, and the removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demand and turbidity reached 89.6% and 99.2%, respectively ( Zeng et al. 2011 ).
